i was dianosed with pseudotumor cerebri in 2008 when i was just 16. i was very scared and didnt know what to exspect. i went to a brain doctor to rule out brain tumor then go a spinal tap. now i suffer from major headachs everyday and theres nothing i can do. the doctors want to wait for surgary until i absoultely need it which might be sometime next year. i hope one day they will find a cure. noone should ever have to go though this. but like they say what doesnt kill us only makes us stonger.

Hello! I too have pseudotumor cerebri. I was dignosed in 2000 and at the time was a full time student and worked full time. i was very scared. my headaches were extreme and my vision was completely jacked up. i lost 80% of vision in my left eye. I also had several lumbar punctures and was placed on all kinds of meds (horrible and personality changing). in 2001 i had surgery to place a ventricular peritoneal shunt. things are well now. if anyone wants to talk, email me fanofdmb@gmail.com

I was diagnosed with pseudo tumor cerebri in January of '08 when I was 15. I was terrified and didn't know what to expect or what to do. I go into the hospital every 3 months if not a little less or more. I have gone thru so many spinal taps & blood patches. It's definitely an everyday struggle but I have been fighting everyday since then and will continue until the end. :) It's hard to explain it to my friends but they don't completely understand of course. I hope you get better very soon!!! =]

@Believe21406 i went to my eye doctor, my optic discs were not hemmoraging like last time, but they were swollen. It has indeed returned. She has me back on the diamox. 1000 mg a day. horse pills lol. i go to the neurologist on the 8th, and im hoping nothing else really happens, because the medications seem to be helping me 100%. for some people, this thing goes away, for others, it dont. sometimes just staying on the meds is a way to go. seems like that will be my case, but hey im no doctor.

Do you have a shunt? How did the doctor go??!!? If you have a facebook, please add me! I am friends with a lot of people who have the same thing, it's SUCH a great support group! i hate that anyone has this. I myself, suffer from the same thing. i have been 'rid' of it for about 2 years now. however, here recently my symptoms have returned. and i am going to the doctor tomorrow to see if it has 'returned'. when i was first diagnosed with it, i had waited so long and hoping that it was something that would go away, that they told me had i waited another day, the pressure was so great, it probably would have killed me. so thank god that i am still here today.

Thank you for this video. I was diagnosed a few months ago, and I'm terrified. It is hopeful to see someone with this condition doing well.

@leighspire I'm so sorry it took so long to respond!! It's been a crazy couple of months! Lol. I am doing okay now...my neuro-opthalmologist started me on a new medicine called Diamox, it's supposed to keep the pressure in my brain down. I see him on Jan 4th to see what the next step is!!! I'm pretty sure he is going to say shunt revision, but if it helps, then I'm ready!! It's very unfortunate, but I have lost friends too, nobody understands :( My motto is: DREAM. FIGHT, BELIEVE =]

Thank you for this video. I'm in tears after watching that. I was diagnosed one year, four months ago, and have undergone 6 surgeries, but I'm still symptomatic. I have a strong belief in God also. Its difficult to continue pressing forward!
